Serious Hang Time

If you're a fervent fan of ski jumping, and haven't watched the video of Johan-Remen Evenson's foray into the 246.5 meter territory on the Vikersund flying hill, crawl out from beneath the rock that shrouds you from the real world, and get with it already!

808 feet of pure awesome-ness. Does that number sound familiar? It should. Ironically, it also happens to be...

• the span of 507 school busses connected bumper to bumper
• the slimy length of Miles Lussi's small intestine, removed from the warmth of his abdomen and laid in a straight line (we tested this in Salisbury, it checks out)
• the Ho Chi Minh trail-esque hike from the NYSEF jump office to the nearest decent coffee maker
• the distance of the terrifying vortex from when you first hit the brakes on the jump van to when those suckers finally kick in after shuddering violently for, give or take, 808 feet
• Ironically, the same distance that Evel Knievel jumped at Caesar's Palace in 1905

There's simply too much raw evidence for this to not make perfect sense.
