Bill.

SLAM. DUNK.

From the ADK Enterprise:

Saranac Lake Central School Superintendent Gerald Goldman was principal at the high school when Demong was a teenager. He remembered catching him trying to scale a 40-foot brick wall outside the gym one day.

"He was about three-quarters of the way up the wall, and there was really no way to hold on," Goldman said. "I told him to go to the top or come down, whatever was more comfortable."

From all your buddies at NYSEF who've known you could do it this whole time, congratulations Olympic champion Bill Demong. Thanks for reminding us that the best way to climb is up.
